General Notes: Husband - Joseph Parks
As a young man he superintended his father's farm, and spent all his life on the old property.
During a period in his youth, he owned and operated another farm in the region, but later in life purchased the homestead farm and there spent the latter part of his life. He also conducted a tavern in Ligonier township along the old turnpike and where the old stage coaches stopped when they ran through that part of the country in the days prior to railroads.
He and his family were members of the Methodist Episcopal church. He was a Republican in politics, and for a number of years was constable for Ligonier and Cook townships.
