General Notes: Husband - Amos Miller
He remained on the home farm until he was eighteen years old, when he went to learn the carpenter trade, and a year later began building barns for neighboring farmers. In 1874 he moved to Wilkinsburg, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, and was employed as journeyman till 1886, when he began contracting. He was first associated with the Lutheran Church, but later united, along with his family, with the Reformed Church; he was a democrat in politics.
