He was a farmer, had saved a comfortable competence in his home land, and to relieve the loneliness and dreariness of his life in the years when his mind could no longer be diverted from his cares by strenuous labor, he sought the homes of his children in the United States, dying in Wooster, Ohio, at the advanced age of ninety-four years. His wife passed to her rest while they were residents of Wurtemberg, Germany, and he survived her many years.
