General Notes: Husband - Frederick Porch

He married early in life in Somerset County, Pennsylvania, then took charge of his father's farm, and after the death of the latter became the owner of it.
He served for some time as township assessor, and was a staunch Democrat in politics. He was a Lutheran in his religious belief, and a member of the Ridge Church of that denomination.
His death occurred at the age of sixty years.

Three of their daughters all died of diphtheria within a few days of one another. They were all in young womanhood at the time of their deaths.
