General Notes: Husband - John Barnes

He brought his wife and family to America in 1803.

In 1803, John and Thomas Barnes came direct from Ireland, and located first in Jackson Township, Mercer County, Pennsylvania, in September of that year. Remaining at that place until 1807, John Barnes removed to Findley Township, and settled there. This farm was about a mile south of what later became Pardoe Station, on the Shenango and Allegheny Railway, and was one of the earliest settled places in that portion of the township.
