General Notes: Husband - Watson A. Menoher
Having obtained his literary education in the public schools, he began learning the trade of carpenter as an apprentice to Robert Orr when seventeen years of age. He was thus employed for two years when he went to Latrobe, Pennsylvania, where he worked for Benjamin Simpson for two years, and then began business for himself as a contractor and builder in the borough of Ligonier. He also moved buildings and successfully carried on his business, becoming the leading contractor and builder of the Ligonier valley. In his political affiliations he was a staunch Democrat, and fraternally he was connected with Ligonier Lodge, No. 964, Independent Order of Odd Fellows, in which he passed all the chairs.
