Washington Twp, Butler Co, PA

He attended school during his boyhood, as opportunity offered, but his advantages were not many. Before he set-tled down to farming as his chief busi-ness, he worked at the Butler Glass Works, having a contract to put in all the sewer-age. He also did a large amount of teaming at various times. Later he was much interested in sheep grow-ing.
