General Notes: Husband - George Horton

---

He was reared and educated in his native place, attending the public schools and the Liberty Academy. In 1870 he went to Sheffield, Warren County, Pennsylvania, as superintendent of Horton, Crary & Company's tannery. Several years afterwards he became associated with this company as a partner, and continued a member of the firm until the time of his death.
