Hempfield Twp, Westmoreland Co, PA

He was born and reared in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania. He was a large land owner in his native county and the state of Ohio. He held some position in the militia of Pennsylvania and was a member of the old Harold Reformed church to which he was always a liberal contributor. His wife bore him five sons and five daughters.
