General Notes: Husband - [Father] Mechling

He established the Mechling family in Pennsylvania. He was born in Germany, and on emigrating to the new world settled in Bucks County, Pennsylvania. He was very prosperous and was regarded as one of the wealthy men of the county. This ability for the successful management of financial affairs is one of the marked characteristics of the Mechling family and seems to have been handed down from generation to generation.
