General Notes: Husband - John M. Wolfe

He accompanied his parents to Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, in 1825, when he was some thirteen years of age. They settled in Salem township, where he resided for more than sixty years and where his death finally occurred.

After living two years in Hempfield township he removed to Salem township, in which he continued to live until his death. For many years he held the office of school director in Salem township and was a member of Congruity Presbyterian church.

The change in spelling of the surname was decided upon by his children, all of whom changed simultaneously, leaving off the final "e" and adding another "f."
