General Notes: Husband - William Smullin

---

He emigrated to America in the middle of the nineteenth century and settled in Mahoning township, Armstrong County, Pennsylvania. He owned a farm of about three hundred and sixty-five acres and was also interested in the iron furnaces in that locality. He was a Methodist in religion, and, there being no church of that denomination in the vicinity, he gave the use of his house for the religious services until the congregation grew numerically and financially strong, and a church was built.
