Pittsburgh, Allegheny Co, PA
He was born in Culpeper County, Virginia, and came to Mifflin township, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, with his father. He became a surveyor of note.
In his younger days he removed to Kentucky and there followed farming; subsequently he returned to Pennsylvania and settled in Allegheny County. He was in the Revolutionary war.
