General Notes: Husband - John D. Robb
After the death of his father, he went with his mother to Washington County, Pennsylvania, where they lived for six years and then returned to Allegheny County. Mr. Robb continued a resident of the county from that time, living on the farm where he was born, and which he inherited from his father. His first education was received in the common schools of North Fayette township, after which he attended, for several terms, the Wilkinsburg academy in the city of Pittsburgh. The republican majority in Pennsylvania became proverbial in the political annals of the country. Mr. Robb was one of those who could always be relied on to sustain that majority, as he was a consistent member of the party ever since he attained the age of a voter.
