General Notes: Husband - William Platt
He and his wife were probably born east of the mountains in Pennsylvania and settled in Venango County in the early 1820s. He was the owner of a hundred-acre farm near Nickleville, which he cleared and improved and on which he resided until his death. He and his wife were both members of the Presbyterian church and he was a Demo-crat in political conviction.
