General Notes: Husband - Uriah Newcomer
He grew to manhood on the Newcomer homestead farm, which he helped to cultivate and improve when a boy and young man. After his marriage he built a small cabin on the home farm, in which he lived for some time. After the death of his father-in-law, Henry Smith, he moved to that farm, which he purchased. He soon sold it to his brother, John Newcomer, and moved back to the old homestead, which was ever afterwards his home. After the death of his father, he purchased the interests of the other heirs and became sole owner. He was a Whig in politics, and a member of the Mennonite church.
