General Notes: Husband - George W. Newcomer
He was educated in the public school, and lived on the home farm until 1900, when he purchased a small tract of twenty-five acres of his father in Upper Tyrone township, Fayette County, which he cultivated until 1908. He then bought sixty acres in Connellsville township, where he then resided. He maked a specialty of poultry farming on a large scale, having hatched two thousand white Leghorn chicks during the spring of 1912. He established a reputation for fine poultry and had an abundant market. In politics he was a Republican, and served two terms as supervisor. Both Mr. Newcomer and his wife were members of the United Brethren church.
