General Notes: Husband - Andrew Banks


He was graduated from Princeton College in 1889, read law with Patterson & Neely, and was admitted to practice at the bar in 1891. He commenced his legal practice in Mifflintown, but removed to Greensburg, Pennsylvania. At the outbreak of the Spanish-American war he enlisted in Company I, Tenth Pennsylvania Volunteers, and was in the Philippines about one and a half years. Returning to Mifflintown, he again engaged in the practice of law, and served as district attorney two terms. He was a member of the Presbyterian church, and served as chairman of the Democratic county committee. He was a director of the Juniata Valley National Bank.
