General Notes: Husband - John Pomeroy
He was a farmer, and at the time of his death was living on a farm belonging to his father-in-law in Southampton township, Cumberland County, Pennsylvania. He was a captain in the Pennsylvania militia. As a citizen he was a man of genial manners, industrious habits and strict integrity. He was taken ill while on the return journey of a trip to Baltimore with his wagon, was brought to Shippensburg in a sleigh, and died at the house of his brother-in-law, David Nevin.
