General Notes: Husband - Henry T. Wynn

He was born at Blairsville, Indiana County, Pennsylvania. Here his childhood and early youth were passed, and here he obtained his education, attending the local public schools for that purpose. In August, 1903, he took up his residence in Trafford, thereafter identified himself prominently with many important business concerns there. He became connected with the Wynn & Starr Company in 1905, which manufactured bricks on a large scale, operating two plants, one at Trafford, manufacturing both smooth and rough texture face brick; the other plant was at Mars, Pennsylvania. The main office was at Trafford, where they had a well-stocked builders' supply yard, selling coal, sewer pipe and all other material in the builders' supply line. In conjunction with the brick plants the company owned and operated gas wells at each place for the burning of brick. Mr. Wynn was president of the concern, and was also president of the Trafford Oil and Gas Company, and president of the First National Bank of Trafford, his connection with that financial institution dating from the year 1909. He was also first vice-president of the Trafford Board of Trade, in which capacity he did much to stimulate and encourage the commercial and industrial growth of the place. He was also the owner of considerable valuable property in the town. He was affiliated with many important organizations there, and was particularly active in the Masonic order, having taken the thirty-second degree in Free Masonry. He was a member of Acacia Lodge, No. 355, Ancient Free and Accepted Masons, of Blairsville, and of Syria Temple, Ancient Arabic Order Nobles of the Mystic Shrine. He was also a charter member of the local lodge, No. 1106, of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows. Another of Mr. Wynn's interests was agriculture, and the Wynn & Starr Company operated an excellent farm of twenty-two acres as a war garden, upon which they grew a very successful crop. He devoted his attention particularly to buckwheat, cabbage, beans and beets, and met with very gratifying success.
He was a member of the Methodist Episcopal church of Trafford, serving as president of the board of trustees.
