General Notes: Husband - Samuel McElhoes
He purchased a farm in Rayne township, Indiana County, Pennsylvania, on which his son Robert later lived. He followed farming, stock-raising and milling. He and his brother built the first grist-mill, known as McElhoes' mill, which was later the property of his son Robert. He was a democrat in politics.
