General Notes: Husband - Nathaniel H. Shepherd

He worked for his father until reaching the age of twenty-one years, at which time he married and bought a farm at Glen Campbell, Pennsylvania. This he sold at the time of his father's death and returned to the family homestead, where he then resided, being engaged in general agriculture. Mr. Shepherd was a Democrat in politics and served ten years on the local school board, and also two terms as auditor. He was a member of the Evangelical church.
