General Notes: Husband - John A. McDowell


He was a farmer in Ligonier township, Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, practically all his life, where he owned property consisting of one hundred acres and carried on general farming operations.

He was born at the family homestead farm, resided thereon all his life, and died there. He owned one hundred acres of the old farm, was a Republican in politics, and a member of the United Brethren church.
