General Notes: Husband - John Denney

---

He came to America from England and settled in Greene County, Pennsylvania.
He lived on a farm near Jefferson, Greene County, Pennsylvania, and acquired vast land holdings in Greene and Fayette counties. He owned enough land to give to each child a farm. One of the early deeds in the Greene County records shows that in September, 1797, John Denney bought 103¾ acres for the "consideration" of $5.
