Indiana, Indiana Co, PA

His ancestors were among the first settlers of the county of Indiana, Pennsylvania. His grandfather was captured by the Indians about 1760 and taken by them to Quebec, where he was exchanged for French prisoners captured by English soldiers and Colonists. His wife's ancestors were related to the Sharpes in the Cumberland Valley of Pennsylvania.
