General Notes: Husband - Robert Moore


He was born on the homestead farm in Muddy Creek township, Butler County, PA, which property he later owned, having purchased it in 1873. He received his education in the district school, and was engaged in farming since boyhood. In August, 1861, he enlisted in Company F, One Hun­dred and Thirty-seventh Pennsylvania Volunteers, and served nine months. He was a member of Watson Brothers Post, G. A. R., of Portersville. Politically, he was a Republican, and filled the offices of school director, township treas­urer, and clerk. He was a member of the United Presbyterian church of Por­tersville.
