General Notes: Husband - John White

---

He was educated at Canton and Potsdam, New York, taking training for the ministry. However, he taught school for some time, became a merchant and manufacturer of veneering, con­ducted a saw mill, and later, in 1843, purchased a farm in Chautauqua County, New York. He was a member of the Episcopal church, and highly respected in the community.
