General Notes: Husband - George A. Mitchell

His education was acquired in the public schools. With the exception of two years, when he was associated with a company manufacturing oil well machinery, Mr. Mitchell was a member of the real estate and insurance firm of L. S. McJunkin & Company, beginning in 1904. In politics he was a Republican. He was a member of Company L, Sixteenth Regiment, National Guard, of Pennsylvania. Mr. Mitchell was a member of the Board of Commerce of Butler, and in religion was a member of the Second Presbyterian Church of Butler and a member of its session.
