General Notes: Husband - Hugh Orr


He was a son of Irish parents, his ancestors all having been of that nationality, and was born on a ship sailing the high seas between Ireland and the United States. His parents settled in Washington County, Pennsylvania, and there he grew to manhood. He was a soldier in the War of 1812-14, a young man at the time, and later in life he received a pension from the government in recognition of services rendered. When his oldest children were young he moved to Green Garden, Beaver County, Pennsylvania and there purchased a farm.
The family were all Seceders in religion.

She died when eighty-two years old.
