He lived in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, during the greater portion of his life. It is not known precisely where his home was, although he must have lived for a time at least on the farm which was later in the possession of his great-grandson, the Tobias Myers, since his son, George, was born there. He died at an old age, much respected in the community, where he had played an active part in local affairs.
