General Notes: Husband - Elijah Davis

He purchased one hundred acres in Mahoning township, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania. This place he improved, making it a home for his beloved parents, who both lived to an extreme old age. He followed farming all of his life, but was only permitted to round out a life of fifty-six years.
He was, in politics, a stanch Democrat of the Jeffersonian school; in religous matters, his family and himself were of the Disciples faith.

He came in early days to the vicinity of Hillsville, Lawrence County, Pennsylvania, building a log house in the woods on a large tract of wild land he had acquired. Later, he erected a comfortable frame dwelling, in which he continued to reside and there his death took place, in his fifty-first year.
