General Notes: Husband - Elias Peterson

His father came to America from Germany during the latter half of the eighteenth century and settled in New York state.

He was born and reared in New York state, and when a young man came to Pennsyvania and settled near Pleasant Unity, Westmoreland County, where he purchased a farm which he cultivated and operated during the remainder of his lifetime. He was a devout Christian man, and an elder in the Presbyterian church.
