General Notes: Husband - Daniel Matthias
He came to America from Holland when a youth of some sixteen years, in the year 1750, landing in New York city. He later married an English woman by the name of Warner, and shortly afterward located in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, about the region of Mount Pleasant township.
Ten brothers emigrated from the Fatherland to the United States, nine of them going to Ohio, which was then the far west. The one who alone decided to remain nearer the confines of civilization was Daniel Mathias, who settled in Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania, where he led the life of a pioneer farmer.
