General Notes: Husband - Guy Melvin Skiles


He passed his boyhood on the home farm, and as he grew older learned the trade of carpenter. In this line of work he found employment in Emsworth, Pennsylvania, remaining there until the year 1899, when he removed to Sewickley, Pennsylvania. He owned a residence at No. 340 Walnut street, in that town. He was a member of the Republican party, and of a number of social and fraternal organizations, notably James L. Graham Lodge, No. 699, Independent Order of Odd Fellows.
