General Notes: Husband - Abel M. Evans

He was a lifelong resident of Amwell Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania. He was an extensive farmer and besides being a man of ample fortune, was also a leader of his community. He served for many years as justice of the peace and as an administrator of estates. He was also county commissioner for one term. The Evans family was always attached to the Presbyterian faith and he was one of the elders of the church of that denomination at Ten-Mile.
