General Notes: Husband - Jacob Martin
He was educated in Lancaster and Cumberland Counties, Pennsylvania, in the German and English languages. He was reared on the farm, and was a successful farmer all his life. He came to Greene Township, Franklin County, in 1867, where he owned 152 acres of land. He resided in West Pennsboro Township, Cumberland County, on a farm of 124 acres, for thirty-eight years.
