General Notes: Husband - David E. McNary


He and his wife resided in North Strabane township, Washington County, PA, until 1871, when they located on a place in Cross Creek town­ship, erecting a handsome residence in 1875.
He owned as much as 196 acres of land, and was interested in stock raising, making a specialty of fine-wooled sheep, of which he owned between three and four hundred. Politically, he was a stanch Republican, serv­ing his party as county commissioner during the years 1888, '89 and '90. In religious faith he was a member and elder of the United Presbyterian Church of West Middletown.
