General Notes: Husband - John McKinney

---

He held the office of sheriff of Warren County, Pennsylvania, for three years, and of constable three years. He was a leading business man.

He was elected sheriff of Warren County in 1830, at the early age of twenty-six years. His principal occupation was lumbering, which he carried on extensively for many years. During his early manhood he rafted a choice quality of white pine timber down the river to Pittsburgh, which he was compelled to sell at the insignificant figure of $3.00 per thousand.

He had seven children, two of whom were still living in 1887.
