General Notes: Husband - Samuel R. Baldwin

He was educated in the district schools, the public schools at New Castle, Pennsylvania, the Edinburg State Normal College and at what was known as the One Study School at New Castle. In the meanwhile he engaged in teaching, usually passing his summers in study and his winters as a pedagogue, and for thirty-one years Mr. Baldwin continued to teach, in later years all the year. In operating his farm he paid special attention to producing milk, believing this to be a remunerative branch of farming. He owned sixty-three acres of land.
Politically Mr. Baldwin was a Republican and served fifteen years as township auditor. He was a member of the Red Men, Tribe of Ben Hur, at New Castle. Both he and his wife belonged to the United Presbyterian Church.
