General Notes: Husband - William Stewart, Sr.
His birth occurred in Ireland, but at an early day he immigrated to the United States and took up his residence in Perry township, Clarion County, Pennsylvania, where he owned and operated a large tract of land. Another source states that it was his father who immigrated from Scotland before his birth; see the notes about his father.
He lived near Black Fox and Dutch Hill, Clarion County, Pennsylvania, where he was a farmer of prominence and influence.
He and his second wife were out walking when he became ill, and they sat down on the roots of an old tree, where he died at a ripe old age.
