General Notes: Husband - A. Fleming White


He was educated in the country school, and also attended, for one term, the preparatory department of the Pennsylvania College at Gettysburg, and from youth up was engaged in agricultural pursuits, and owned 195 acres of land.
He held the offices of assessor and justice of the peace, serving in the latter office for seven years. In 1883 he was appointed associate judge of Adams County, and was elected in 1884. He was a member of the I. O. O. F.; passed all the chairs in his lodge, and was a member of the Grand Lodge of Pennsylvania. He and his wife were members of the Presbyterian Church.
