Perry Co, PA

He was a Union soldier during the Rebellion, enlisting in 1864, in Perry County, Pennsylvania, in Company K, 83rd P. V. I., which was assigned to the Army of the Potomac. He served until the close of the war. Having always been a great reader, he was a well informed man.

He and his wife were the parents of four children; only two were still living in 1898.
