General Notes: Husband - Robert C. Thompson

Clay Twp, Butler Co, PA
He was born on the family homestead farm in Brady township, Butler County, PA, was educated in the common schools, and at West Sunbury Acad­emy and Grove City College. At the age of twenty-four he commenced farming a portion of the homestead, and also taught school for three winters. In 1887 he traded his farm in Brady township for 135 acres in Clay town­ship, on which he thereafter lived. He and his wife were members of the Presbyterian church. Politically, he was an independent voter, and filled the office of school director for one term.
