General Notes: Husband - John Jacob Lobingier
According to a tradition, as a young man he fought in the French and Indian War, (about 1754) accompanied by his father, assisted in repelling the attacks of the invading Indians. He was scalped by the Indians and left dying on the field of battle, but as the story goes, he revived and was able to return home, where he recovered and later rejoined the settlers in repelling the Indian attacks. This time, however, he did not return, nor was he ever heard of again.
