General Notes: Husband - David Young

---

He was born in Cumberland County, Pennsylvania, and when seventeen years old came to Union township, Lawrence County, and settled on a farm, later owned by his son-in-law, Robert Wallace, taking up 186 acres, and building a log-house in which to live while clearing the farm. In 1852 he built a brick house in the old colonial style with four large chimneys. On this farm Mr. Young passed away at the age of eighty-four; his wife lived to be only fifty-two years old.
