Friends were grieved to learn of the death of Mrs. Anna E. Taylor, whose death occured Wednesday morning in the Oil City hospital, where she had been a patient since September. Mrs. Taylor was the wife of the late Dr. J. E. Taylor, who was a physician in Rockland for many years. Mrs. Taylor was known to almost everyone in this community, and was a sincere earnest Christian woman. She was preceded in death by her husband and her only daughter, Ida May. Services were held at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon at the home of her brother, Cryus [sic] Maloney, at Reno, after which the funeral party left for Rockland. They were unable to travel very rapidly on account of the condition of the roads. Owing to the lateness of the hour, only short services were held at the grave. A hymn was sung by a trio of male voices, and a short prayer read. Mrs. Taylor will be missed by a large circle of friends, and all those who knew her.
