General Notes: Husband - James Major


He was of German ancestry, an early settler of Victory Township, Venango County, Pennsylvania, and a great hunter. Early in the 1800s he built a hotel on the Pittsburgh road, where the Pearl post office was later established, which was burned and rebuilt three times. Joseph Brunton was a later proprietor.
He served during the War of 1812.
