General Notes: Husband - James McGee
McGee's Mill, Clearfield Co, PA
He was one of the pioneer lumbermen on the west branch of the Susquehanna river.
He was reared under the parental roof, and spent his entire life on the farm. He early became familiar with the duties that fall to the lot of the agriculturist, and with the work of lumbering. In summer he gave his attention to the farm, in winter to the lumber business. He became possessed of his father's old homestead, a large and valuable farm, upon which he made many improvements.
At the age of fifteen he united with the Methodist Protestant Church, and was ever an active and consistent worker in its interests, both as an exhorter and minister of that Church.
He was reared in the faith of the Democratic party, but later in life became a stanch Prohibitionist.
