General Notes: Husband - Johnston McGaughey

He attended Glade Run Academy and taught school several terms. He graduated at Washington and Jefferson College, and the Theological Seminary at Allegheny City, Pennsylvania. He taught at Glade Run and Covode Academies. He preached at Stewartstown, York County. He and his wife went to Wyoming Territory in 1878, where they remained for two years. He was later stationed at Santa Fe, New Mexico. He was stated clerk of Presbytery.
