General Notes: Husband - [Father] Mahaffey


He came from Ireland to America in Colonial days, making his home on a farm in Lycoming County, Pennsylvania, where he reared his family.

He was a Revolutionary soldier, participating in the Brandywine and other battles. The family located on what became site of Burnside, Clearfield County, in 1827.
